Taimur Malik is a Pakistani lawyer who represents clients including many Fortune 500 companies, listed institutions, public and private sector organizations and sovereign wealth funds across Pakistan, Middle East and Africa. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and has studied management and leadership at postgraduate level at the University of Oxford.
He also has professional certificates in areas such as legislative drafting, international law, decision making and international dispute resolution from prestigious institutions such as University of Heidelberg, Hague Academy of International Law, Boston University and London School of Economics. He is an alumni of the Georgetown University’s globally respected Georgetown Leadership Seminar. He has been a Research Scholar at the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in Rome and was the Executive Director of the Research Society of International Law (RSIL) Pakistan till 2008.
Mr Malik is ranked as a Leading Individual by Legal 500 and has also been ranked and recommended by other prominent legal rankings such as Chambers & Partners and IFLR 1000. His Pakistan focused legal work has included litigation and arbitration matters for Pakistani clients (including for the Government of Pakistan), advisory work for the National accountability Bureau and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and assistance to clients on regulatory and constitutional matters. Recently, he has represented a number of international and local investors in relation to investments in Pakistan’s booming technology and start-up sector.
